Palmistry

minihand

“Our body is a Temple; unraveling some of those secrets kept in that temple can help to illuminate a clear pathway towards awareness.”

Our nervous system is a communication center all in itself. Impulses from the brain send their messages out to the tips of the fingers where the unconscious knowledge of the future is made visible. Our world is revealed in our hands through the tiny records left by the action of the nerves on the palm’s surface.

Palmistry began in stone age times. Paintings can be seen in the Lascaux Caves in France and the remarkable Santander Province Caves in Spain where the walls are covered with paintings of human hands. Aristotle wrote on this subject some 2,500 years ago.

The Ancient Vedic scriptures contain much information on palmistry. Leading Seers in 563 BC were ecstatic to find the mark of the wheel on Buddha’s hands and feet, indicating his future greatness.

Palmistry can provide guidance in understanding emotions, energy, talents, character and the challenges that arise in the course of a lifetime.

I have developed an approach where I combine the intuitive and mystical influence of Rommany Gypsies — looking at past present and future—with a psychological perspective; and with the scientific and current research into dermatoglyphics.

Interest in using palmistry for psychological analysis is a product of this century. The teachings of Carl Jung have been inspirational to me when interpreting the lines of the hand. Incorporating an awareness of therapeutic and psychological needs is essential in the society of today. Some call this “new palmistry” and often negate the mystical fortune-telling ways of the gypsies.

I believe that psychology, science AND the mystical approaches, are all worthy aspects of palmistry.
